Magalies Spesiale Skool / Magalies Special School
Magalies Special School is a LSEN (Learners with Special Educational Needs) school and caters for the Mild to Moderate Intellectually Disabled (MID) learner.
At Magalies Special School, learners receive individual attention to address their specific needs. Classes are much smaller than in mainstream schools, to create an optimum learning environment. Magalies Special School follows the Technical Occupational Curriculum (TOC) but has adapted to the content and volume to the level of capability of the MID learner.
The aim is to develop and uplift learners in all aspects. Therefore, we do not only focus on academic achievements, but also on developing vocational skills and building of character through sport and cultural activities. This gives learners the opportunity to develop and build leadership skills
Nuus / News 2022
How should we see 2022?
We should feel it
with every fibre of our beings.
It is an inward thing,
a powerful emotion.
Faithful gratitude and awareness
of every breath,
every tear, every smile.
Feeling gratitude for waking up,
just being alive.
It is a conscious awareness of life,
of God, of love and
of every emotion we thought we knew, only multiplied by a thousand.
It is 2022, a new horizon awaits to be explored. A year we look forward to as the Magalies Special School family.
We are embarking on a brand new adventure, welcoming new learners, parents and educators, and together we will face a new chapter together and walk with our heads held high in faith, hope and God's grace.
With fresh minds and new perspectives, we welcome the new school year with open arms and positive attitudes.
"Ambulante in lumine" - Let us walk in the light together in faith!
